Abstract

An efficient approximate factorization method has been developed for calculating stationary composite subsonic, transonic, and supersonic potential flows in two-and three-dimensional nozzles. The method is based on the numerical integration of the complete equation for the velocity potential written in divergent form and has a second order of approximation. The advantage of this method over a number of other well-known methods of approximate factorization and the method of successive over-relaxation is demonstrated, as well as its substantially greater efficiency compared with methods of establishment with respect to time which are extensively used at the present time for solving the direct problem of two-and three-dimensional nozzles.
